Yea I’m starting to get to that point. Cold never bothers me till it gets windy and cold then I’m not happy. I was just in Oregon in September went into the mountains is was 40 degrees and I was in shorts an a hoodie, and loved it. Froze my thin blooded balls of but I still love it.

tcBob confirmed it! This username does NOT exist on TW! I don't have my phone number listed on TW either...

    IMG_1172.jpg

This number is from somewhere in LA, which makes little sense since I live in Pennsylvania and there are probably much nicer secondhand Tacomas in California.
I am hoping this is a friend using a spoofing app to play a prank.

I have detailed here and there for friends on the side. It’s very lucrative if you know what you are doing and have the time.

I didn’t do it for no $10 an hour though. I wouldn’t be able to buy products and equipment for that. Try closer to $50/hr

Is this your private business or are you working for a local like car wash place?
And what type of detailing are you doing?

I have done paint correction and restorations. A sedan would take me several hours just on the outside. 1.2 hours wouldn’t get me through the wash.

Ok so you are doing clean up and get paid per vehicle. Cool deal.

If its something you enjoy you can go independent and really make some coin.

I like detailing. Its very theraputic, especially when its not your vehicle lol

I have to decided to stick with detailing on a full-time basis until I can find a good job in the HVAC industry. I had an interview with a local HVAC company this morning, but I don't think I am going to get the job due the fender-benders on my record. I am currently talking with a friend of a friend whose dad owns a huge HVAC company, but if I can't find a job there I will stick with detailing until I go to vocational school.

Almost a year since my last at-fault accident. No points on my license at all. One "5 MPH over" ticket back in 2017, and a ticket from January 2nd that I am about to take to court...

    Got two new headlights from
the Carquest store owned by the dealer where I work. I paid a little over $200 for the pair, when the Toyota dealership previously quoted me $361 EACH! Gotta love that employee discount!

I don't think so, but they're the same brand that the body shop uses.

My uncle has two of them. He also has a 2010 or 2011 extra cab with like 24K miles that he bought from the original owner and painted to look like an AMC Rebel Machine.

    @Jamesboy2233

Do you remember telling me that Tacomas didn't get locking rear diffs until 1997?

This is from the 1996 brochure...

I work at the Fred Beans Detail Shop and a friend of mine is a salesman at Fred Beans Subaru.

There's about a 1% chance of me replacing my Tacoma with anything but a Tundra or another Tacoma. However, I really do like the Crosstrek and I figure that it's worth it to at least test drive one (and I mean really test drive one, not just drive one from the parking lot to the detail shop and back out again).
