Over the years, I have successfully made contact with numerous former school teachers who I believe had a positive impact on my life, and I've never had a negative outcome. My last "reunion" was with my first grade bus driver, back in 2017 I believe. He has been retired from the North Penn School District for probably a decade, is well into his eighties, and is sadly a widower.

Most of my teachers are still employed at their respective schools, but a few have since retired. A while back, I talked about my 6th grade math teacher, Mrs. Crelly. I remember her for two things. She gave me my very first detention, and she more than made up for that by getting me out of a music class taught by a teacher I didn't get along with. Not only that, she let me hang out in her classroom and do my homework when I was supposed to be in that damned music class, which meant I was able to play video games or hang out with my friends when I got home!

So, I suddenly remembered her first name the other day and googled it. I got a hit on Whitepages, and I just made the decision maybe fifteen minutes ago to call the number. What did I have to lose? So, I called it. An older man answered the phone, and I said who I was. He was at dinner with his wife (my teacher), and my teacher confirmed that she had a Charlie so-and-so in her 6th grade math class during the 2000-2001 school year. He handed her the phone, and she was very happy to hear from me. We chatted for a bit, and she said they were at dinner with friends in another state, but she'd love to call me back and talk, and also that she'd like to read this thread!

Seriously though, Mrs. Crelly is one of my favorite childhood teachers. I thought she was a bit too serious and kind of grouchy at times when I was in her class, but looking back on it I realize she was looking out for my best interests.

 

Same here... All my teachers think I'm an idiot lmao.

 

I don't think I'll be buying it after all. I don't think the brackets that hold it would work well with the skid plate I'm planning on buying. I'll have to buy the skid first, then see if it needs cutting to be able to clear the brackets.
