If there were stations that had it available everywhere it would great...like its been said its negligible. Then you would have to find a source near you...99% of places ive seen only have the regular air vs nitrogen.

So, there was a post about a DUI checkpoint on the Facebook page for the Bucks County DA's office. This particular checkpoint is held ever year on around Saint Patrick's Day (2017 and 2018 it was on March 17th; 2019 it was on the 16th), and I had the misfortune of encountering it on my drive home from work in 2017. I discussed my experience at that checkpoint in a comment on this post, and the right person saw it!

The post can be seen .

Here is one of my responses...

The 10-year old Dunlop Grandtreks still have the factory markings on them!

    IMG_1788.jpg

I found this to be quite impressive, considering that the tires were four years old and had about 32K miles on them taken off the truck...

I have been using nitrogen for about 10 years. I see a few bennifits as the air pressure doesn't fluctuate as much as air. My Tacoma when I first got it was set at 30 cold. It would get up to about 34 on a mild cool to cold day. When it's 40 degrees or less the air drops about one pound and I don't have to worry about the damn tpm light. When my Tacoma was set at 30 cold on a real hot ass day I would see the tires get up to 37 or 38 degrees so now with nitrogen I don't see the tires get that hot, maybe 33 pounds. So there is a bennifit right there and lower temps means means a cooler tire so less wear and tear. It works for me and it's free. I sure wouldn't pay for it.

Hence the reason pressurized aircraft utilize nitrogen for high altitude trips With temperatures 10 to 80 below on some flights at cruise, the nitrogen ensures when you get to your destination your tires are at recommended pressure for landing. Me? Yeah it makes me feel good if a tire dealer puts nitrogen in my tires upon installation but I'll be damned if I ever pay for it.

I use it in my mustang, Tacoma and my wife's Lexus. I get even wear across the tread because the air pressure stays closer to where in needs to be without the drastic changes. I have never had a problem with it. Also I do change the air out in my tires as well. Just try it, you might see some improvements.
