You mean the people that used to be called Gen Y?

78 here. Last of the Gen Xers. Divorced. Sold 1st house, living in 2nd house. Thinking about 2nd marriage. Complains often about lazy youth. Is actually lazier than said youth. Wishes for more vacation benefits. Drives a Tacoma. Wishes it was a defender 90. Wants a boat. Not willing to pay for said boat.

Don’t generalize about a generation. There are lazy, dumbass, no clue individuals in every generation.

I think about this quote every time I see or hear someone bitching about how the younger generation is going to be the end of society:

“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.” - Socrates or Plato (so at least a couple generations ago)

You like defenders?? When I worked in the Australian outback people avoided them like the plague cause they said they are very unreliable. I don't know though, never even see on in person.

There are few vehicles that are cooler than a ragtop Defender. At least they're cool during the few moments when they aren't spontaneously on fire.

But yeah, that's exactly why I'm not driving one. Stupidly unreliable. And stupidly expensive.

Did you happen to notice that someone referred to Tacomas as the "Glock of motor vehicles," and that they "start no matter what," in the comments section of the video?

    Precisely correct. Private Property.

Now, I'm in Canada so legalities may differ, but I suspect they will be similar. I used to be a Private Investigator. There is a reason one has to get a license (at least in Canada) to be a PI. Its because it is illegal to take pictures on private property (which PI's do alot of) unless you have license. This includes malls that are Private Property owned. Now, my days was way before cell phones and the camera's they contain...and obviously there are selfies and such being taken by many many people, but the law still stands. You cannot walk over to your neighbours house and start taking pictures of their property contents or inhabitants unless you are properly licensed, or explicitly been given permission. I know, old laws, new era...but there are probably still a few "cant drag your dead horse through town on a Sunday" laws on the books also.

In future situations Charlie, I'd merely explain to the 'official' what you are doing...and if they still don't acquiesce then move along. Like others said, some Mall Cops are gonna mall cop.

Keep up your photos, I enjoy them
