Yeah I was alittle nervous doing the SR grille over to the Pro grille as I figured it couldn’t be as easy as it was in the videos but was an easy swap. I hope to to the ditch lights on my own as they don’t seem very hard and I hear they’re a simple install. The only thing I don’t think I would attempt on my own would be a lift/suspension things or adding relays etc.

maybe ou could ride with someone? not to dig into your ptsd but ive seen first hand PTSD from IEDs and I wasnt the one driving. all of a sudden my buddy just ducks behind the dash and GUNS it blindly. I had to slap the shifter into neutral or we would have crashed. I drove the rest of the way.

I know how one feels with ptsd

I’m really sorry to hear about your buddy, thank you for his service. I didn’t have the honor to serve our country but got it from serving with 2 local fire departments for years without even realizing I had it. Not recognizing the red flags etc.

Sounds like fun, and I can’t wait to see it! I hope y’all have a great time and I can make the next one!

most of that stuff is rather easy once you do it even just one time. if you can read even the most simple wiring diagram adding a relay will be easy. there are only 4 spots that you can attach things to on the common relays used on our trucks. worst that happens is that you attach in the wrong spot a few times maybe pop the fuse for it and learn somethings. ive gotten pretty good with electrical between my job tacomas and building my own trailer

It’s a lot of people taking pictures and vids. Joe normally has a drone running around. Maybe homer will bring his to get a couple picture up high.

Dang you built your own trailer? That’s awesome. I have been watching YouTube vids on the ditch lights/installs and they do seem pretty simple and know I could always turn to here with a few questions for help and all if for some reason I can’t figure it out even if it’s obvious. Haha.

That’s awesome, I will most definitely have to check that out. I appreciate the offer for help. My dream would be to build up a hard topper into a camping shell like a lot of people do on the forum, I’m a fan of bushcraft/off-roading/outdoors. I will have to let ya know when I order the ditch lights and how it goes. I’m sure I will be posting about it in here with lots of pictures.

I wanna be there for that. :spy:
We can always come up to you too... I'm down for a ride up to the Pottstown area - its not that far. I used to have the Pottstown Home Depot in my territory - pretty familiar with that area. :D

Sliders are better than steps because of the added protection they offer with the same function. Mobtown is close and their sliders aren't bad at all - I've installed them before with no issue.

I’m about 20 mins north of there. So not too bad of a drive, of course I would pay anyone who came to help if I ever did need it. I think the only thing I would be afraid of or nervous doing would be a lift, as I have never done any suspension work.

I originally wanted the predators but even on road or light off-roading I would be afraid of the step ripping off due to rock, rough terrain etc. I hear really good things about mobtown.

I would be getting the bolt on, from what I hear the side steps are 6 bolts and the sliders are just as easy.
