Dave - follow my step by step plan:
    Step 1: Hobart 210MVP FTW!
Step 2: Wire up garage for 240v
Step 3: get a bunch of grinders coz switching cutting wheels and flapper discs sucks.
Step 4: Also get yourself a plasma cutter
Step 5: bum a lot of practice metal from friends @HolyHandGrenade :anonymous:
Step 6: watch Jody Welding videos for newbs
Step 7: do a few practice runs
Step 8: then let everything sit in your garage for months.
Step 9: Then start doing projects.

I’ve gone through most of the steps and am stuck on Step 8, moving to step 9 when it’s not so hot outside.

normally i would agree but this is a different beast. This has a 60% duty cycle at 200 amps tig and 100% at 120 amps. its not your average bear. Its also $2900 lol

this is not your normal multi process welder and has alot of reviews backing up the 100% duty cycle claims

Never heard of them. Should get work to spend the $$ on one to try out. My real concern would be getting consumables around here if they use non-standard torch connections.

No post weld mess to clean up. There's no splatter or slag to clean. You just have to clean the weld area and you've got a finished weld when it's done.

    @Grand dude

It’s so great having a welder around. I should’ve bought one YEARS ago.

Tonight for instance. I opened up my trailer and noticed one of the prop supports was bent.

I just pulled out some 1/8 scrap angle. Cut it down, and welded it on.

Before I bought the welder? “Shit. How am I going to get Jon up here to weld this for me...”

That’s funny. Karen just said the same thing. Not about the welder though :(

Hey Jimmy. Is that similar to the nozzle gel stuff that Hobart sells?
