I have a mobtown trans skid i sell for 140$. Never been installed its the 1/4" one i dont think hes making them anymore

 

If you plan to offroad your truck and actually use the skid plates (why else would anyone buy skid plates to be honest... it's not like it's a fashion accessory) then I would maybe go with some other company. Look at the areas I circled. These bolts will get mashed up on rocks. I guess if you bash em enough across rocks then the heads of the bolts will be non-existent making it easier to get that oil drain door off though.

Also, that bump down section is just asking to get caught up and bashed. If you plan to run a full set of skids, you should look into getting an exhaust reroute. Looks like the bump down is for the exhaust pipe. Most of us have done an exhaust reroute which allows for the skid plate to be flat across. 100$ or so at any local exhaust shop will get it done. I forget the shop's names, but they're around.

Nevermind i checked in your build thread. They apparently dont make that one anymore either. Bummer

 

It was never on the website. You’d have to call and reference mine. They only ever made 3.

what do you guys suggest for a hi-lift mount in a first gen mounted inside the bed,any ideas ?

 

I was charged tax when I picked it up and argued with one of the guys about it. I bought the parts from my computer in Philadelphia. Picked up the parts in Maryland when they were still located there.

 

Can you get those bed rails from a 2nd (best) gen or turd gen to work in your bed somehow? Otherwise there hilift mounts that bolt to a toolbox that might work. You might have to look at mounts designed for Jeeps (gasp)

 

cool ill probably just bolt right on to the bed rail its self.What mounting bracket are you using ?

Quick wash today after mowing the lawn.

 

I'm not even sure. I bought the mounts used when I bought my first hi lift off someone on the forums. Easy enough to make your own tho. Beat some metal into shape with a mini sledge hammer and vice. A couple, two.. tree, holes and you got it made.

 

They say he's in Delaware now. Delaware has no tax but Maryland does.

 

Yeah they're in Delaware. Sales tax isn't charged for online, across state lines, purchases.

you bolt it directly to truck bed ?

 

Yes and no ,to the top rail with a piece metal on the inside lip to give it rigidity the long mount also rested on the bed floor but only because I never felt the need to bolt it thru the bed
