Majority of gas taxes go to state police pensions and not the roads.

Pay per mile won't go to the roads either.

My brother lived in MD for years, and my wife's family has a shore house in northern OCMD. You can own guns, but don't dare bring them out of your house other than for hunting, and basically nobody gets granted carry permits. Too many Democrats in that state makes for gun hatin' rules.

It actually freaks me out to even be in MD, even if just passing through. I go some place and all I can think about is whether the gun toting bad guy is going to mow everyone down... because the only people there with the guns are the criminals and the much lesser in number cops who are likely 10-20 minutes behind on controlling the situation when such a situation arises.

I have a PA carry permit. I don't always carry at all times... but even when I don't I still have much more peace of mind that the bad guy is going to kill less people when other citizens can have the opportunity to help before the cops come.

"Article I, section 21 of the Pennsylvania State Constitution states: “The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.”"

That's how I like it and why I wouldn't move to MD.

Seems more fair to me. Pay per mile instead of per gallon, kinda like a flat income tax rate but with a modifier of how much you use the state maintained infrastructure instead of the privately provided fuel in commerce. Right now, someone that must drive a lower mpg vehicle pays more taxes to the state, for only that reason. The theory makes sense, though I'm sure the implementation would not. "It's only 3 pages..."

They won’t remove or lower the gas tax, this is another tax scheme in addition to

Gov is like the guy who bums a smoke so often you go from being a half pack a day smoker to a two pack a day in 24hrs

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You can't even have a hollow point.

You do what other Jersians do. You have a camp in PA and hunt there.
