You could break it when you take your steering rack out if you don't strap down your steering wheel and follow the correct removal procedure which I'm not positive about

In September 2009, my dad traded his 1996 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4x4 for a new 2010 Toyota Tacoma, which he ended up giving to me. My dad found the Pathy's window sticker in 2015 or 2016, and I ran the VIN through Carfax. The report says that the Pathfinder was repossessed from the second owner in May 2010 or so, and the trail goes cold. The last known location listed in the Carfax is Fairless Hills. This leads me to believe that my former vehicle has been rotting in an impound lot or tow yard this whole time. If I could find my Pathfinder, I would love to buy it back and fix it.

Does anybody know of a place in Fairless Hills where repossessed "buy here pay here" vehicles go to die? Has anybody seen a green Pathfinder in such a place?

I've been pretty busy refurbishing the past month. As of yesterday there is new sheet metal home fabricated rockers welded on. Then comes grinding, metal filler, primer, bedliner. Then slap the refurbished bed on.20190823_223355.jpg 20190823_223516.jpg 20190823_223604.jpg20190909_231346.jpg

    Mornin' everybody. :playball:

I had to do a lot of work on the rockers and door bottoms on my '96 Cougar when I had it... it's always worse than you think once you start digging into it. I had to dig back pretty far to find good steel, then build my way back out again.
That's a tough job but it looks like you're making good progress! :taco:

I live in Fairless Hills and know a few people that work in the used car business. I’ll ask around for you.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Hmmm...you don't see too many 23 year old Nissan's running around. It was probably sold at auction by the bank or even salvaged after the repossession.

Unfortunately, it’s looking more and more like it was sent to a pick-and-pull yard and then recycled...

When I worked at the detail shop, there was a 2012-2013ish Honda Civic at the tow yard next door. The car had been abandoned and was destined for the scrapyard, even though it was in fair condition, because they couldn’t get a title for it.

In the same lot, there was also a 2012 Chevy Cruze that was totaled when it was only a few months old. The car was obviously not paid for, but the couple who owned it took the insurance money and ran. As of June 2019, the car had been rotting at the body shop for 7 years because the bank refused to release the title to the insurance company.

And at the same body shop, there was a 2007-2010ish GMC Acadia that somebody dropped off for body work back in 2016 or 2017 (inspection stickers expired in 2017), and never picked up.
