The top two idlers can be reached from the top. I had the best luck getting the bottom one from underneath

one batch, two batch.. penny & dime.
While we are all talking preventive maintenance.... I feel like when I run the a/c ....when it turns on/off (the compressor) is quite aggressive...It's noticeably felt from a driving perspective... is that something that tacomas "do" or should I be looking at replacing some components..?

I replaced the bottom one in a parking lot somewhere in Indiana at 11pm at night on my return trip... :anonymous:

I found it harder to do the belt than the pulleys TBO...

Yeah the belt is definitely a pain in the ass. The worst part for me was the "muscle memory" it had from being folded up in the package. The kinks were making it more difficult to get it around everything at the same time. @Nimble9 when you get the belt, maybe take it out of the cardboard sleeve, open it to a circle, and let it sit in the sun a bit to get the kinks out of it. Just a though, not sure how good it would be for the rubber, but I doubt a couple hours would hurt it.

doesnt look too bad alot of it looks like dirt. you try spraying it with simple green first and pressure washing it? then hit the rest with a wire wheel like they said above

The real trick to install is looping around the power steering pulley last...

Media blast, or wire wheel, or chemicals. My go to method is angle grinder with this style wire wheel:

    https://www.amazon.com/Wennow-Wheel-Brush-Angle-Grinder/dp/B016E8GT2O

And then I use a acidic rust converter like:
