Just did a tire rotation and glad to report that the undercarriage on my truck is in much better condition than I thought it would be :)

About 8 or 9 months ago our Tacoma got clobbered by some hit&run @#$% %&& %^&&*(*&%^&$ in a parking lot. The dent was shallow, the paint was undamaged, and I was hopeful a PDR place would be able to do it some justice. But the ones I went to said no, it has to go the full route, pull trim, repair, paint, yada yada effing blah blah blah.

So I didn't do anything. :anonymous:

I don't drive the truck as often as I used to, and when I'm not driving it I'm not looking at it, so it only bugged me occasionally. But over the past week or so I've used the heck out of the truck, and in the process I got reeaaaallllllllyyyyyyyy bugged. So I stopped in an Autozone and bought a big suction cup dent pull thingie and went home and dumped hot water on the fender and popped it out. Somewhat. Hmmm. Way much better, but still in the bug-me zone.

So I went on Amazon. Bought a dent pull kit that uses hot glue (!!!) and a bunch of different shaped glue-on doodads that can then be yanked on by several different gizmos in the kit. To my surprise the hot glue actually worked pretty well, and my dent is now well out of the bug-me zone. $40 total investment, and a whole bunch of glue sticks left over for whatever needs attention the next time.

Anyone need a nice air compressor? The new shop is already setup with one so I won’t need mine.

    It’s this one:
    https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...stage-twin-cylinder-pro-air-compressor-60-gal

Mine has had a pretty easy life. It’s five years old, had the oil changed after the appropriate break in period, periodically since, tank is always drained, and has been mainly used to run and impact and air up the occasional tire.

    $500

I'm currently saving money for new front suspension setup. It's either gonna be jBA uca or dirt king. And possibly kings. I have the money now for ucas but figured I'd buy it all at one time.

Unfortunately for me I'm paid cash. So no tax return.

Hence the reason I'm constantly looking for a real job with benefits. Having no health insurance sucks

Ew. I'd say we're hiring but probably not in your commute range.

Mark... being a biology minded scientific type person by trade... I have to ask you about that expression I've seen you use. Isn't being "above the tree line" a nonexistent concept in Pennsylvania? I thought none of our "mountains" in PA were tall enough to not sustain tree life (like say 12,000ft. and higher elevations in the Rockies, etc.)? What's up?
