Thanks. Yeah, sounds like you have a couple choices. Another very popular tire I didn't bring up is the Michelin LTX M/S2

    https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=LTX+M/S2

    Or this one

    https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=LTX+A/T+2

These are definitely not cheap but people report extremely long lives with these. There are reports over 100k miles. I think the average is around 80k.

I really like my Yokohama's on my second set. First set lasted almost 5 years of gravel and dirt roads in Wyoming, fair share of rock climbing up on the mountains and several road trips from WY to PA.

Damn it’s early. Taking the train to Temple this morning. Thankfully it’s only a 4 min walk from my house. :pccoffee:

Yokohama makes a great tire. The brand is well respected in the industry for sure.

The Geolander makes a lot of people happy.

LOL. for me it is. i roll outta bed, shower, get ready and get in the truck every morning at around 8:30. i am not a morning person.

also, the train doesn’t always stop at my stop, so it’s take the 7am train or wait another 50 mins. or drive to another stop, but that defeats the purpose of not driving cause i’m going out in the city after work tonight.
