I’m sure the actual cost of working at home is less per day than driving to work. It costs me about 1.5 tanks of gas to drive to work each month. That is still more than my internet. If you are driving an hour plus each way, i bet the saving on gas is more than internet usage.

 

It looks like some of the rest stops on I-79, I-80, I-81, and I-84 are re-opening.

Not sure when the PA turnpike will resume allowing cash/credit transactions.

 

Probably 90% of the people that have it considering most of the people around Pittsburgh and most other places I've talked to that go to get tested are turned away. My wife's friend is really sick waited 6 hours at the zoo to get told " you're just sick, you don't have any underlying conditions, go home and stay there". Same thing being told to people who are extremely sick with the symptoms of Covid-19 around the country.

 

It doesn't help that the weather keeps changing and spring allergies are in full effect.

Working from home won't effect the value of your home at sale time. You depreciate the items in your house related to your work, each year on your taxes, such as a computer, furniture or equipment. You can't depreciate the equipment or furniture if the company supplies them or reimburses for them though. Ask me how I know.....

The 24th of this month was one year working for this guy. And fired through a text message. Damn shame.

 

Well now at least I got time to tear into the truck and the motorcycle. And gut the garage.

If you have any commute yes I am spoiled by my 5 mile commute the long way.

I would think the savings on fuel and wear and tear and the stress of driving would be more then enough to pay for any added expenses working from home.

Talk to your tax accountant or tax lawyer see how much you can write off

Become a Independent Contractor since your working from home in most cases that works great for the company.

 

Just saw the star link satellite system fly over head. Talk about something that looks like a scene out of the terminator when skylink becomes aware. It was like 50 of them in a straight line.
