New EBC Yellow Stuff pads installed. I got 30k miles out of my last set of Power Stop pads so I really can't complain. Especially with all the highway driving I was doing back then.

Anti-seize: on the pivot part of your bolts for the shackle and leaf pack (3 per side).

LockTite: Everything except the lug nuts.

I'd only anti-seize the bolt that goes through the bushings, try not to get it on the threads though. Nothing you should be working on will have been loctite'd from factory.

Best way I found to get the bushings into my leafs was to simply throw the bolt through them with a washer on each end and run the nut on with an impact. Pulls them right in with no fuss.

I was able to get the bushings in by hand and a large set of channel locks

I called Deaver to confirm some things and they told me to lubricate the bushings very well, so that might have helped

I can’t find the torque specs for the bolts that go through the bushings anywhere. Do you have any info on that? I know the ubolts are 52 ft-lbs

    86. Are your u-bolts bigger than factory? The Dakar spec is 89.

I didn’t think about that. Factory is 19mm (3/4) but these are 7/8.

    Hey all!

Any welders out there @Arcticelf or others?

Having the ass end of my truck much higher in the air kinda renders the the little ramp that came with my hitch carrier useless...it's a little steep of an incline!

Weld an extension on or build a longer one? What do you think?

Since the weather was so nice...and they are predicting 3-5" of snow early Saturday...I decided to put the bed step on this afternoon. I remembered seeing somewhere that someone recommended a 6" extension for the ratchet...and you need it. With it, though, it's a 20 minute job...and I didn't even need jack stands!!

I went for a nice ride out to The York and Lancaster area .

I could not believe the lack of traffic on 222 and 30 between 0700 and 0800 dead.

I do miss my Favorite diners being closed I hope they can come back .

Email and Phone are good but it sure was nice to vent in person with people that can understand what you talking about .

Hah, we had a similar experience driving 30 West to Bedford, PA today. Once we got past Breezewood and all the 76/70 junctions and it gets to the 4 lane it somehow turned into the Autobahn (actually, Nürburgring with all the twisties around the mountain...). I was doing a cool 65 in a 55 and got passed like I was standing still. Ok, screw it, they'll get the ticket so I bumped it up to 75. Same thing, got passed like I wasn't moving. Not going into much further incriminating detail other than I made it there in 25 minutes as opposed to 35-40...

I drove out to Hershey from Bucks County last Saturday on the Turnpike and was doing about 90 the whole time. There was literally zero traffic.

granted, I was driving the FRS :D
