Ok, so... I think I might have screw up an idler pulley (or a couple) while cleaning the engine bay a little while back. It was chirping for a little while, especially in wet weather. Eventually it stopped making noise, and I forgot about.
    Screenshot_20201026-212945_Chrome.jpg
Did it again, and it's chirping again :annoyed::facepalm:

So, I went on my favorite dealer's website (McGeorge) and looked the pulleys up . Who comes up with those prices!??

Anyways, I'm still thinking about replacing a trio, just hoping to save a few bucks, so I was wondering if Gates pulleys (sold by RockAuto) which are a few $ cheaper than OEM, are any good/better/worse than OEM? Worth it or nah?

The biggest price difference is on Tensioner assembly ~ $50, hence considering Gates.
Also, any idea if tensioner pulley is replaceable by itself? Toyota website only shows whole assembly and no part# for pulley itself.

    BTW, it's a 3.5 turd gen

Why not just replace the bearings instead of the complete pulley ??

Get the number off the bearing get the bearings it has been a few years but the Last bearings I bought were in the $10.00 each range.

If your sealed bearings are making noise they are not long for the world.

Now if the noise is from getting the belts soaking wet I would not worry.

Do the pulleys feel rough when the belt is removed and you rotate them ??

It's a buddies truck, needs some TLC, but I'd like to see it wheeling again. And his wife has decided he's not putting any more work into it.

Apparently it's going to be a work truck for their employee... Which I can only assume is some sort of complicated life-insurance fraud scheme.

Mine is a Wicked Ridge Invader G3 slightly modified, made by Tenpoint. Not the fastest, no the slowest, it kills what I aim @. Recovered my arrow, broadhead, and lighted nock, went straight through.

Couple more years and he'll be real nice. I have a smaller 7/8 point that has been living in the blowdowns all summer. The last local resident buck made it to 176" 10 point. The deer got me I to archery, although I only targeted him a few times. The back yard is sacred and I don't hunt it at all anymore. Aside from taking my 5 yr old out.
