I'm still on the fence if I want to step up and get a better one or not. The big kid in me says yes but the responsible me says I shouldn't.:rofl:

    Narrow it down some what??

Perhaps the drive train might help weed out models of no interest .

unless the lust is so strong it matters not the color or drive train just be a second generation?

    He is not really sure.
He has been driving my 2nd gen fir the past 2 months. His brothers 95.5 was giving issues, so I told him to let his brother take his truck back to school. While I straighten it out. Well his brothers frame is NFG. So I was working out another one for him and the older one said he wants to buy a 2nd gen...... New job, good money. The thought of selling him mine has crossed my mind.

What's the budget if you don't mind me asking? My 2009 is still for sale at the dealer I traded it in to, however they got it listed for $15K. It's not perfect, but it's still a decent truck at 146K.

Wasn't someone looking for a used 3rd gen? There's a slate? Calvery? the matte blue one with a cap sitting at the Volkswagon dealership in Middletown, Business 1 and Woodbourn would be the closest intersection off hand.

I'm looking into getting a 21 TRD Off Road. How do you like yours Adam? Is it a manual or Auto trans? I'm shopping around for now. Thanks.

It's a brand new 15 year old truck  But, that's actually a good thing IMO. Everything underneath is almost exactly the same as my 2009, so I am not having to learn something "new." My truck is an automatic which I will say at first I was wondering what in the Sam Hell did I just do. Shifting was a little weird like, but I will say after almost 500 miles on the truck it has started to really learn my driving habits. The 3.5L needs to be revved up a little bit more than my old 4.0L, but it looks like you'd be coming from the 4 cylinder so that would be a nice improvement. The interior is top notch, alot better than my second gen. The infotainment has a learning curve to it, but I'm starting to like it. The non-JBL speakers are plenty fine for me, and I like heavy metal, stoner rock, etc, etc... My truck has the technology package so it does have the keyless start which was weird at first, but I really like it. I can just keep my keys in my pocket, unlocking and locking the doors with just my hand is awesome. The standard Toyota Safety Sense is actually kind of neat. I do have the lane assist off, but the blind spot monitoring is cool. As far as handling and comfort, I find the ride to be pretty smooth and handle the bumps/potholes well. I know it is a truck, but it does handle well. My mother even commented that it rides better than her 2015 Camry. Fuel mileage has surprised me for the winter. I'm getting a solid 20mpg going off the computer and hand calculations. My 2nd gen 4.0L would get 15 on a good day going downhill with a tailwind in the winter. Overall I really like it. Still getting used to it and it's still "breaking in" so I imagine it'll get better. Too bad you don't live closer, I'd hand you the keys and say have fun. :D
