    Last time I had water like this was Hurricane Floyd in 1999.

    That water is flowing like a river and is at least 5-6” deep.

    it’s slowed down and receded for the most part.

    Edit: I took these pictures before dinner so this was about 5:30 PM today

    People had to get rescued from their houses by boat. Too many people trying to drive through high water. Few injured FF and police in the county too, due to rescue efforts.

    Few power outage- caused alarms, one fire, and a water rescue here at home. Across the county : Multiple car / water rescues, two rescue boats sunk, numerous house evacs… I’m off to my pillow for 4 hours.

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! Just remember that fallen trees just add materials to build that ark.

    Started raining about 4:30 Am yesterday and stopped about 1 AM this morning here. Beautiful clear sky right now. I can hear the water flowing underground off our hill and the stream that runs through our property is pretty swollen. I'll have to wait for daylight to look for damage - the lake was pretty high late yesterday afternoon but the drainpipe was only 1/2 way under water so I think it had time to drain a lot of the excess rain as it fell.

    I hope everyone is OK with minimal damage! Stay safe!!

    So sorry for everyone’s losses. Makes my problems seem inconsequential.

    Basement flooded when storm sewer backed up and now have to disinfect. Old house has the floor drain into the sewer pipe. That’s what connects to the street. We’ve had this happen 4 times in the 18 years we’ve been here. Time for the back check on that line.
    My wife’s stained glass shop is the low spot. Only affected work table legs. I painted them with roof mastic for the bottom 2 feet when I built them. Only need to clean the bottom row of her glass storage bins.
