I broke down and turned on the central air conditioning tonight, atleast for the next couple days. I work outside so I have a love/ hate relationship with AC. Too many years driving big trucks OTR and living in the AC on year round in it because of the regen unit putting off so much heat, that and driving local in daycare with zero airflow. I love cooling off in the AC but it makes it that much worse when I go outside or out of a vehicle with it on.

Showing 95° for Wednesday but they read that from the airport which is 25 miles west of Pittsburgh where it's flat and out in the open. The city gets way hotter.

I can't sleep without it, especially with temps like we have now.

That's how I've been for a long time. I'm trying to get away from relying on AC and use fans.

My body is so used to AC that every bit of moisture sweats from my head if there's any humidity. My baseball cap rains from the bill, from so much sweat. Not joking.

The humidity is the killer. It just drains my energy and makes me feel so uncomfortable. The a.c. removes some of that humidity.

Long live A/C… No Doubt those triple H’s - Hazy Hot & Humid incoming zap the hell out of you. The price we pay for lush greenery, beautiful lakes, wildlife and ticks. I would Not trade it for February cold 20+ straight days of dreary gray though.

I felt it today, I was up on our third floor reactor, three times today hanging fall prevention, 100+ degrees just on that floor alone.

I think I lost 20lbs just standing on the decking. Not counting climbing the stairs :bananadead:

It started after midnight. My poor little dog gets scared every time it thunders. No storms, like predicted, but it is raining steady and hard at the moment.

Huge storm rolled through right before my alarm rang. Normally I sleep through them. Checked rain gauge it dumped 3/4 of an inch in a short period. Nothing like Montana is facing now.

Might have been part of the one we got here around 2 a.m. My rain gauge has less than a 1/2 inch. The weather app says the rain is done around here for the day, but it is still gray and cloudy.

Morning all. Left Broomall and was darkening up. At work now and just got dark as hell and windy then rain started pouring in South Jersey. Looking out my office window looks like it's night. Assume a lot of Delaware Valley getting it now.

Well today I'm walking around with my head hung low from embarrassment. Mom called last evening and says there is a big puddle of water around the new furnace/AC system u installed on Sunday. So I go over and find this piece of cardboard sticking out of the lift pump and put my cheaters on to read it and ....

So for dessert I had some humble pie. But it made my mother laugh and me.
