If they are siezed you won't be able to do anything... Youll need at the least new LCA bushings plus all the camber and toe hardware which is around 400-450 from dealer (only place you can get it)

    Doesn't work

@Firebird plus a way to press out the old bushings and put new ones on... If you don't and they are siezed then you will not be able to get it aligned properly

Get a corded sawzall, and a big stack of metal blades.

Also, don't screw around with aftermarket bushings or rebuild kits. Get an OEM bushings and alignment hardware kit, or an aftermarket LCA.

Yeah. They had some 10 foot piping for one of the boats that is getting an overhaul done on base... I just used that.

Alright, aftermarket LCA is WAY the hell outside my price range.
Going with rubber bushings and alignment hardware. Anyone think of anything else I'm going to need?

Is the plan just to cut the bolts, pop out the old bushings, press in the new ones, and reassemble with new alignment hardware?

Haven't done anything like this so far so trying to make sure I get the right parts.

Make sure you have a good press handy to 'pop out the old bushings'. Those things are rusted and seized into the LCA, just like the bolt is rusted and seized into the bushing.

Otherwise, solid plan, expect to spend a full day on it.

    Good luck

He's right. If I ever do it again I'll be buying new ones for the swap. You can't simply press out the old bushings, they'll need to be cut out. It sucks, takes forever, and makes a fucking mess.
Ask me how I know. ;)

I think, if you can be down for a couple days, that soaking that end if the LCA in brake fluid and PB blaster for 48 hours will make life easier.

As an alternative, get a set of used LCAs here and swap them in.

Was thinking of doing that but I'm not really finding much within my price range. I like the idea of having new bushings too, I know a lot of people ride their rigs hard and put them away wet.

By pop them out, we were either going to air chisel them out or just straight melt the bushings or even do the bottle jack/torch method to them.

Air chisel and bottle jack. Soak em in PB Blaster first.

What do you mean by full rebuild?
If I have to swap the bushings and alignment cams I'm back where I started lol.

Full rebuild to me would be new ball joints, new bushings, and new alignment hardware.
