    I don't remember much about *that* part of my misspent youth. :rasta: :rasta:

    Spent the afternoon moving some more firewood to easy access and filling up the gas cans. When we bought this place it was 'romantic' when the lights went out, after all we have a wood stove and a springhouse so we're good to go. Now all I want to do is fire up the generator and take a hot shower, MetEd be damned.

    You guys talking about Sandy... that's about what we've resorted to. One full crew for fires. Myself and a rookie for squad calls.

    Spent 48+ hrs on the clock. The next 3-4 months was spent driving back and forth to Lavallete, 3 days on, 4 off... where they had deployed us to cover their squads.
