I hate grices I've been there a few times just don't like the place or the people that work there. It's cool how there's guns everywhere though. As far as anything ammo or reloading is concerned. Call or email https://cacassociatesinc.com they don't carry guns just ammo, reloading supplies and some other stuff. I've been to Bob's army navy in clearfield I like it. Dosnt have the amount of stuff grices has but more surplus gear. One reason I hate grices is because every time I have been in there it's so packed i could hardley move. Didn't seem worth it. I've never actually bought anything from them either.

i'm pretty confident that i'm switching my carry to the HKVP9. I love my glocks, even tho one of my g19s is down for the count because a frame rail took a shit, and glock won't cover warranty due to stippling, but the vp9 feels perfect in my hand. shoots like a dream.

is there any surefire way to tell if a handgun or any gun is new? i posted this on the HKPro forum looking for help. I don't want to speak ill of the FFL that sold me the VP9, but I'm thinking its preowned/used and not new. See below for the issue.

Last week I purchased a VP9 from a FFL who will currently remain nameless until I sort this situation out. I purchased what I though was a new in the box firearm. Today after I went to the range, I decided to see what the alternate grip panels feel like. The back strap removed with no issues, the side panels however, appeared to be seized on to the frame. After further inspecting and lightly wedging a pick under the side panel, i realized the panels are bonded to the frame, whether it be with epoxy, super glue, or some other adhesive.
I am not sure how to inquire about if this was a pre owned firearm. I am giving the shop the benefit of the doubt, and perhaps it was just mislabeled and priced as new, but if this does not work out in my favor, which currently it doesn't seem like it is going to, how do I replace my frame? I have a P30, so its not like I am unfamiliar with the panels.

mats, flaps, and stickers. Extang solid fold 2.0. Mobtown sliders and full skids. AVS vents
Take it back and show them the issue, and ask them. I highly doubt it came from factory like that. Or, call the factory service and ask them about it. Any warranty cards/information in the case? Any need to register the warranty? If so, and you try, it may not be possible if it was done before.

The FFL has basically washed their hands. Claiming that's not how they sold the pistol. According to their log books, the firearm was brand new, which I verified. I was showed the pistol being received into inventory, and 3 weeks later it being sold to me.

so, the dealer basically absolved themselves of any wrong doing. went to claytons, they claim its more than likely used. they told me to call hk or live with it. the panels are fine. they are the medium. threw another 200 rds through it this morning. worst case, if i even have a reason to remove them, i'll try a heat gun, or try and have HKCS replace the frame. I already have a call into them.

i've never had an issue with em. everyone talks shit about the old man tom, but he's and honest and direct guy. if you go in there spouting off at the mouth like a keyboard cowboy, they'll call you out on it everytime.
