Hey fellas, the guys over here in Mobile were planning to have a little get together on Saturday, Feb. 11th. Any and all of you are more than welcome!

Hooters on Airport Blvd. in Mobile, 6 PM. Chat, trade lies, and drink a few brewskis.

There'll be several of us there, but figured we'd invite y'all.

(I was born and raised in Ft. Walton!)

Hope to see some of your guys there!

Hey new to TW and wondering if any of you local guys know of a spot to have a lift kit installed on my 2011 taco dbc. I am not trying to be raked over the coals, and although the UTK installation looks simple enough I am considering being lazy when I get back from this deployment and shelling out the dough. Any info would be greatly appreciated !

I don't know of any local places that install lifts. Buy pizza and beer and have a mod meet at your place. You'll save a couple hundred bucks and get to meet up with some local taco guys. i'll be down to help you out. I installed my coilovers at a P'cola meet. It wasn't too difficult with a few extra hands and a couple guys that knew what they were doing.

Yeah I'm just about always good for a meet up and mod event if I don't have anything going on at the time. Wouldn't mind meeting up with some other yota guys around.

Roughly, when are you getting back to the states?

My schedule is pretty hectic but I might be able to make it out if I get enough notice. My schedule is clear in June.

Being you are deployed I'm sure money isn't an issue..but paying more than 50 or 100 bucks to get a lift installed is getting screwed. I put my wife 4R lift on a couple weeks ago and it cost me 10 dollars and a weekend day...Plus it gave me time to show my son how to work on cars.
Cory Station and Eglin both have auto hobby shops...It'll be 35-50 bucks for a stall for the day and they have all the tools you need.

Wow, thanks for the awesome response. My truck is not a 4x4 so I won't be able to rock the trails with you guys I miss my old 92 4x4.. it was lifted, this will be strictly for looks and I don't want to sacrifice ride for it. I do intend on purchasing something to mob around in when money permits though. I wont be back until July so I guess I kind of jumped the gun. Thanks for the support I will definitely keep in touch and hopefully touch base with you guys when I get closer to coming home.
