Wow that is cool. Can it be used to adjust fuel mixture or anything? Does it clear CEL codes?

Does anyone know if this can clear CEL codes? Or if it can be used to adjust anything in the trucks computer?

hey CND2009, I think I saw you driving from the BX on that main road to/from the BX, not sure if it was you or not, but it was a green 4x4 taco with the newer model front end and drove past me

I think when I read about it, it said it cleared CEL's. Not sure if it can mod anything but I'm getting one.

well the big issue with selling my truck is making more than what I owe, I currently owe about $12.7K on it and if I were to sell it AS IS I can BARELY get 13K for it. With it having over 128,000 miles on it AND having a new starter AND fuel pump in it already...im not going to get much for my truck at all. Then, im gonna start stock again and have to buy all my parts and re do all my mods again which is going to set me back a good $3,000 to get everything back to what I had.

and to be really honest, I seriously do appreciate all the finds on all of the 4x4 Tacos, but im seriously too attached to my truck and I really would like to have the twin stick transfer case instead of the ECU to go to 4x4. Converting it will make it stand out that much more since it'll be the 3rd or 4th prerunner converted since there havent been many 2nd gen prerunners converted yet due to prices on parts and how much different the 4x4 and Prerunners are. But I seriously do thank you guys for all the finds on the newer tacos, but i really kinda have my mind set on the conversion, even if it takes me till the end of this year to get done

Same with mine. Too attached she'll get 4x4 when the time is right. For now, I'm building another 4x4

hehe yeah, but you're lucky though...yours is a 1st gen, yours is seriously just bolt on plug and play and you can do it for under $1,000 if you find the right deals...mine on the other hand....my god, I need a new tranny crossmemeber made to accommodate the 4x4 trannyand have to modify the rear drive shaft and so much more

Iwant 35s but don't want a DB lift and not cutting my fenders or bumper...So far, I'll stay 2wd. Get 3 inch spindles, and coilovers. Crank em to about 5, get glass, and trim the rest I guess

sounds like you got a nice plan there, its gonna look nice . I wouldnt mind going with the maxtrac 4" spindles for the 2nd gen prerunners, but really no point in getting them if im going to be converting to 4wd lol

Prices are high right now anyway on tacomas. I'm wanting to pick up a 2nd gen, access cab, 4x4 but seems the prices have jumped recently. I'm probably just going to wait until the new design comes out. Once they all don't look the same, I'm sure prices will come down quick.

So yesterday I meet ArcticIDMT (Steve) and I must say, his truck is amazing. We are going to spend half our Eglin trip staring and taking pictures of it.
