People are insane! Very over priced Tacoma’s

Why??? I don’t get it!! Front leveling spacer, wheels, tires, blacked out emblems, and front pro grill.....$6000. I have 4 of these trucks sitting in my apartment complex, so people are buying them. One off-road and 3 sports.

 

Why: because someone will buy it and be happy with their purchase and the dealership will make a nice profit.

People spend money on hookers, booze, boats, cars, motorcycles... why do you care?

 

You're looking at about $2110.XX just in parts so with dealer prices probably twice that with installation so now you're at $4220. Then factor in whatever they did won't mess with your warranty... I can't put a price on that, but people are lazy and you can charge for the convenience of driving off the lot in a truck that looks like that. They also have to figure out what to do with the old grille, the old wheels and tires and old emblems.

 

Only thing that would be an issue with warranty would be those spacers so far as I can tell, correct?

 

Don't forget the sick Toyota Escondido Motorsports sticker kit!!! Seriously though. Toyota Escondido is known for not budging on price either yet I see these things flying out the door. People are just getting bent over.

Correct, and every dealership on the planet will lie to your face and say you're taken care of until you sign the bill of sale that states "no verbal guarantees will be honored." If you get a truck with any aftermarket parts on it, be sure to get anything they tell you in writing somewhere in the contract.

 

I would apply this more to the pro. None of the parts are in short supply....including the truck. Just laziness or “lack of know”

 

The other piece to this, is that dealer added options get added into the financing. Some people don't mind paying a little interest and markup to have it now.

 

I don't see the TSS garnish on this truck. Do they disabled it? Another picture that can be filed for those dealership that won't perform a TSS recall b/c of grille swap etc.

I saw a $51,110.00 TRD Pro this past weekend ... and that was without any additional dealer markup ... just useless ginger-bread add-ons.

 

Dealer near me had a 19' with a dobinsons lift + UCA's, wheels and tires. $10k added to the sticker. Saw it parked around town just last weekend.

Some people would rather just pay a stupid amount instead of doing the mods themselves... idk.

 

Bank called, they want their truck back

 

That way they can fold all the mods into their monthly payments, drive off and hand the keys to the valet at the mall.
