I hear you. Would you recommend the short or long nipple?

I have one on my Subaru for the last 10 years. Lower ground clearance never had any issues with it.

Short imho it gives a little more clearance is all.

Thank you. I forgot to say I'll have a front skid on soon. Was on the fence between long and short nipple. After your post and I think seeing a couple pic's of other long's, I'll go with a long one to make hose attachment easier. I think the Stahlbus has a hose that 'stays in place' kind of thing. I might take another look at those before orde
    ring.

I hear you. I'm about to put budbuilt skids on, I think either the short or long will work (kind of like the idea of attaching hose, so no 'standard'), but maybe need to find out that the long nipple one has clearance for skid. Thx

I tried the hose and then without it made no difference. The valve will flow straight down and not have any splash onto skid.

Look at the low profile Femco product, protrudes no more than 6 mm or so. There is no lever. Spec for 3rd gen is in my thread in the Canada forum.
