I hate front plates, and don't want to drill in to my bumper to mount one.
Tacking it on to the front air dam like this seems to work well for me. It's out of the way and still visible from a distance.
Does anyone have their plate in the same place? Anyone get flack from police?

Dealer helped with mine. Drilled straight onto the bumper.

I live in a one plate state and left mine off, haven't had any issues yet. I see tons of vehicles here (california) with no front plate. So I would say your solution is better than that. It just needs to be clearly visible on the front. I'd be interested to see how you attached it in case I need to get a fix it ticket signed off.

Just 2 big 36" zip ties around the air dam.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Depends on local laws. Is there a minimum/maximum height in your area?

I'm registered in a state that requires front plate living in a state that doesn't require front plates, so I don't run a front plate.

There is a company that makes a front plate holder that is made for our trucks. It attaches with 3m double sided body molding tape image.jpg and is form fitting. My dealer put it on. No drilling. I can't find a manufacturer stamp on it to give you the name.

I know this is crazy, but in my state you only have to run 1 plate IF you have 18,000 lb tags, so that's what I got for my truck. I asked 3 times at the dmv if it could be front or rear and they said yea. Long story short, it's supposed to be on the front only, but I have it on the back. If I get pulled over, I'll fix it, but until then, rockin' it on the back.

I never thought about this. I live in Colorado and they do require it. My truck was just born today so I won't have it for two more weeks. I just ASSumed it would have a hanger. If any of you figure out the manufacturer, please post it!

image.jpg Here in California a front plate is also required. The dealership even had me sign a form acknowledging that the truck came equipped with a front lic plate mount.

image.jpgGotta have a front plate in order to avoid getting stopped in every other small Texas town. I originally had a body colored oem license plate mounting block on the truck, but then opted for a thin body colored license plate frame. Having screw holes in my bumper is not a big deal.

I have a front plate mount that was in the bed when I bought the truck (and a pleather owners manual holder in the glovy FTMFW)... didn't you guys from the front plate states get one??

They come standard equipment from the factory like that. Ask your stealership for it, MAYBE they "forgot" to give it to you!!

A side question....Did the Limited Fog Light Surrounds work with your Sport's wide angle fog lights or did you have to switch them out?
