l used some ell brackets from the hardware store and mounted a license plate bracket from Auto Zone to the bolts on my bumper mount.20160511_142149.jpg 2016-05-11 14.39.46.jpg

They don't seem to care about front plates around my area. Grapevine/Keller/Southlake/Ft. Worth.

Yea, California is NOT a 1 plate state. you need both. People have been fortunate they have not been pulled over.

I ran naked in the front for awhile with no issue, but my truck stays parked on the main drag, in the middle of a one light town where I work.

I mounted mine where they say to on the front bumper. The dealership gave me the bracket when I picked up my plates and I requested to mount myself.

I thought about the air dam, but then I'm also pondering removing it so no go there. I decided to just put it where they say to where the holes are already kind of "sunk in" on the bumper. It made me feel better knowing that I was the one who drilled. That way I'm guaranteed it was done right the first time.

Yes, it hurt. Drilling holes in a new truck is never fun, but oh well.

California, where front plate are required sucks!
I was ticketed on an expired parking lot meter...

To add insult to injury they added no front plate fine ($28) + bring it for inspection after plate installed.
They allowed 90 days to complete the process.
