Here's pics you asked for-not taking the covers off...too much trouble:anonymous:
and don't mind the board between the driver seat/console. That's to keep my right leg straight (knee pain).
Far as your steering wheel, get a Wheelskins leather wrap like I did. Unless your wear is on the middles.

    looks clean

steering wheel wear is at the 10 and 2 spots (just discoloration, not like my floormat that is worn through to rubber backing)

i guess they changed it at some point to 9 and 3 and i missed it
    ...
For decades, the standard instruction was that drivers should hold the steering wheel at the 10 and 2 positions, as envisioned on a clock. ... Instead AAA, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and many driving instructors now say you should grip the wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock.

I've only had the thing for 3 weeks and I still get people shooting me offers left and right! These are some sought after trucks if I've ever seen some.

Yeah mine wore at the top where my hand rested on cruises and where I steered by palm rotation...all there at the top. Looked like hell so I covered it. Those Wheelskins are real nice and TOUGH. Not like the original factory leather wrap with the one-molecule-thin color coat. Same with our dash; super-super-thin color coat, black underneath. One scuff with a watchband or something and you have a permanent black mark there.

BTW I gotta get new seat covers-those skins are shot and don't do my interior any justice.

Thank ya! I like these but I'm debating on whether or not I want to replace them with some Fuels.

Likely the best vehicle I ever purchased. I've had several people tell me they want me to let them know if I decide to sell it. I am convinced if I ever decided to sell, I could sell the old girl in an weekend. Thought about investing a few $$ and getting a 2 inch lift, but not sure I want to mess with it. Bare bones minimalist - 2.7 ltr, 5 speed manual, roll up windows. I have owned her since new. She has not been babied, but very well maintained. Have approx 230k+ miles and I would drive her anywhere. She is rock solid. IMG_2769.jpg IMG_2769.jpg IMG_2775.jpg IMG_3508 (1).jpg

I want to know about that accelerator pedal. I've put my foot in one of those -- back in the 70s..

I bought them at Costco about 6 years ago. They don't sell them anymore.

I got it off a '69 Buick along with its floor bearings. I had to fab a brace to hold those bearings that attach to the bottom of the pedal at the carpet, and drilled two holes through the floorboard, then fabbed a brace under the floorboard and sealed that point with marine glue. It's been in there since 2008:)

Thanks! I like more pedal than that tiny thing Toyota put in there.

I don't know-somehow I don't see our trucks as ricey. Not at all. They're too tough-looking and as much a part of the American mobile landscape as any other trucks.

if you're talking about holding their value you must check this 'vintage' one up for bids on eBay that is 23yrs old
at the current $12,999 this '96 single cab 4cyl basic equipment (seller claims it is SR5 model but clearly is not!) is getting very near what its MSRP was in 1996
79k miles ... which could be good or bad

$14,600 now with an hour to go in bidding

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/163653500700

I believe that somewhere along the way it lost its OEM wheels and sporty stripes
Had my dealer had this color on the lot at the time I bot mine (+ MT) I would probably have this shade of blue instead of black lol
