He's a good Christian man without a prejudice bone in his body. Just set in his old ways.

Ford fought against unionization of labor, and was one of the last of the big manufacturers to deal with the UAW. Ford even had violent clashes with the union. (Look up the “Battle of the Overpass,”) it was so bad the National Labor Relations Board got involved and forced Ford to stop interfering with union organization.

Ford owned a newspaper (the Dearborn Independent) where he published anti-Semitic articles. He published these as a book titled The International Jew. He personally accepted the Grand Cross of the German Eagle from the Nazis in 1938. HItler acknowledge Ford in his book Mien kampf, and Nazi officials testified during the Nuremburg trial that his writings influenced their views.

I know this. So in general it does not sway my purchase decisions. Except for hobby lobby. Won't do business there.

 

Living near a Ford plant and having UAW workers make snide remarks at the gas pump I.E. "you should support the UAW by buying american", or "that isn't a union made vehicle" I simply say thank god, those things fall apart. I am not a union person, I don't like the unions and when at all possible by everything not made by unions.

 

I did not make it political. I was only using prominent figures (with some cliche') to make my point.
And I too don't want and will not debate the the political/religious topic. But if you are a student of history, you will learn that yes the Romans did the deed, reluctantly, because of the pressure from the Jewish High Priests. And I offended no one, Jewish or otherwise. No. If you try to shame a Japanese person today about it...well that is wrong. Further. Pearl Harbor is a historical fact. . .your reference...well.....is heavily edited and not verifiable. Not trying to bash anyone's beliefs (and there is a rather large difference between belief and fact) Tell me this. For your claims of "history" what version are you relying on? The king james? The "living bible" the gnostic gospels? The Bede? The voice? The Jubilee?Nag Hammadi texts? The nag pulong ? The Neno? Just wondering...

Then you had no reason to mention it at all. Since that is the only source for that story. A tad disingenuous. And here I thought I was enjoying a spirted well reasoned debate. Back to foreign vs domestic debate. Anyone ever been insulted by a AMC owner?

 

I've only owned my truck for 5 months now and I love it. It's actually the first Japenese vehicle that I've bought personally for myself (my wife drives an Acura). I've yet to receive any "bashing" comments; however I do receive completements on it. And if anyone did say anything, I would brush it off. I paid for it, they didn't.
