    Discipline.

Most of the important lessons in college come in the form of "how to live life and not be a fuckup" moreso than the actual information you learn.

Learning how to resist temptation and delay gratification is one of those lessons. And you're failing it right now.

i used to have the same issue with not being able to study and getting distracted...what worked for me was going to a classroom with a computer, disconnecting the ethernet cable on the computer and just listening to my ipod (some classes had speakers in them so i'd also just play my ipod over those sometimes)...hope that helps and good luck with your studying

ya i just graduated and that is what i would do Party sleep and then last minute cram in a class room with only books and my computer. cram all night and take the test or turn in the report then drink beers and flush my brain of almost all the knowledge, like the beer you piss out the little bit that is left for the morning is all you need lol.
the zero distractions thing is key just go so where you can put in as many hr. in and make the most of study time then you have more time to do other stuff.
when shit hit the fan my junior year i also tried doing stuff right after class when it was still fresh that worked for a little while then not so much !!
good luck o ya and i did Marine Engineering alot of sleepless nights cuz of to much procrastinating but o well it was all worth it

English and Philosophy double major at University of Wyoming, hoping to attend either Stanford or Berkley for law school after I finish my MFA here at UW... I too get paid to go to school here, which is nice. 3.8 as a senior, I bust ass and try to stay off TW when I have papers or exams coming up...

    Easier said than done...
