I'll try and find the video but we wheel with Cliff and he's got this kit and ICON bypass' and its stout. I've got a video somewhere of him jumping and the rear is solid.

My take is if you have the funds for a custom fabricated kit, they'll do the work and make sure it's tuned to your liking (that's what you're paying a pretty coin for). Defined is unique in the sense of DIY and you will have to tune shocks and bumps accordingly. I'm not trying to get in the middle and don't have the experience some of you have, but that's how I see it!

Edit - Maybe it's the Icon's he can tune while hanging out the window! :D

Hope he doesn't mind me posting this eventhough he's not on here anymore!

This is about all I can find of his truck right now, but like Patrick said it floats over everything i've seen it on!

EDIT - The road is graded but the jump is not....my Truck bucked like a donkey on that and nearly broke shit!

Not trying to side with anyone specifically BUT Mike (Sublime) as you know, Cliff has about 10X more weight in the back of his truck than anyone I know or have seen on TW. Between his spares, extra gear and gas and all...that might be something helping out the rear "stiff" spring rate most people running this kit are complaining about.

    Thats just my .02

Well he has the appropriate weight for his springs and shocks are valved accordingly......it's what a well designed setup is!

I would like to see who else has these springs but they may not all be TW members?

I agree with the proper weight and shocks valved accordingly....but the statement "for his springs" is a little loose because thats the spring rate that comes with ALL of Mikes kits. Maybe there should be an option for rear leaf packs: for use with gear up to, or for use with gear more than X amount of lbs.

So if people are expecting to carry a lot of extra weight and gear in the back then this kit would be for them!

I am hesitant to install this kit ONLY because I know from all the information floating around that this spring rate requires more weight in the bed than I will ever have.

Is it possible to completely tune out (using shocks) a stiff/more stiff spring rate? Or is the main way to deal with it loading up the bed?

Thats what a lot of people are doing but its not recommended because the leafs will wear prematurely. Seems like people are removing the two bottom leafs and having a more success with lighter bed loads. Not 100% but I think thats what I have been reading from posts on here.

I tried for the life of me to embed this video, to no prevail. Here is the link to you tube though. This is my defined set up. I have 14in doubles with 12 comp. and 8 rebound. This was when I was first tuning them so I took it a little easy on them but I was definitely in at least one foot+ whoops. I have no complaints what so ever. Handled like champ and never even came close to bucking, even on the bigger ones. Next time I'll push it much more.
