Shipping would be crazy expensive I'm sure. Mobtown is doing a GB with them and shipping is $32 to me which is one state away

So who all picked up a Hi-Lift? Did yours show up looking like the dropped it off the back of the truck multiple times?

I made them order me a new one since the thing has more bare spots then I expected. Really debating on cancelling that order and using the Mobtown GB so I can get the slider adapter for a few dollars more.

On a side note the base I ordered on Amazon turned out to be a "ASIN mismatch". The package I received was the locking knob. So they refunded my money and I got a free knob but now I need to order the base off Pep Boys

I'm trying to decide between these two deals as well, and I live in MD.

I am leaning towards the Mobtown deal so I don't have to pay another $50-60 to get a slider adaptor later on. My replacement should arrive in a day or two and I'm wondering what Pepboys return policy is for this thing. Hopefully I can keep it and carry it on my trip on Fathers Day weekend just in case and return it afterwards to get the Mobtown deal.

What part of MD are you in?

Carroll County. I did the math and with gas/tolls it would cost me the same as having it shipped from Mobtown, the only hard part is finding 5 hours to sneak away for the trip. On the other hand, pep-boys is only 25 minutes away and I could swing that during a lunch break. Then, use that 35% discount to offset the cost of this little guy - http://www.jackmate.com/

Basically need to figure out which would be more valuable to have on-hand... the slider adaptor or the jackmate (besides the obvious answer = both)

It would cost me more to do a round trip to them and back but if I plan it when I visit family in Baltimore then it would be better to go Mobtown. Plus it would be nice to see their shop and chat some. Jackmate looks nice but isn't that the same as the Extreme Hi-Lift top adaptor? Which would be cheaper to go that route with the slider adaptor

Read somewhere the jackmate is a little more versatile than the hi-lift extreme's top adaptor, but yes they are very similar. Suppose the 60in extreme w/ slider adaptor would make more sense, being that I've already got sliders on my truck.

I'd really like to see their shop and some of their products in person too. Bed bars, rear plate bumper, front hidden-hitch are all things I'm very interested in, but I'm not about to drop that kinda coin without seeing it in person first. I'm happy to see a semi-local east coast fab shop open up... tired of the west coaster's have all the fun!

Hmmmm. All I did was look at pictures of the Jackmate. Seems like the chain attachment part was the only thing I seen different but that's me. It may be over kill for what I need the lift for. I am going to jump on the Mobtown deal and plan to return the red one from Pep Boys when I get the one from Mobtown. Hopefully I don't need it during my trip or I will have two of then. Haha.

Yes I would love to check their stuff out. I would have bought their sliders but I didn't like the fill plates. Wife said they look like "saltine crackers" perfect comparison for that Maryland style.

gonna pick mine up this week! I have the relentless fab bed rail quickfist mounts. Wonder if the the quickfists can actually hold the 60" or if I should get some other kind of mounting bolts

Fully I had ordered the base last week as well from Amazon and exact same thing happened. Wonder how many people got free locking knobs?

So thanks to the OP for posting this up at just the right time. :hattip:

I bet a few people did. I was shocked how small the package was as I walked up to my porch and when I grabbed it I knew it was not the base. Congrats on your new free lock? I'm pissed but hey at least the Pepboys deal is still on so I will order it through them now.
