    Hello

I have a 2005 tacoma. I am researching Peragon Bed covers. I read on the site that the rail system has to be removed? Does this mean the rail system with the tie down latches? Will those have to be removed and end up only having the tie down hooks that are on the bottom of the bed?

Anyone with experience w/ this bed cover please chime in on your thoughts.

    Thanks.

There are plenty of covers that don't require removal of the rail system. I'd look for another. My Fold-A-Cover works with the rail system.

Thats odd that it requires removal of the rail system. If I were to guess, it is because they use the same holes the rails do to mount the bed cover.

My Frontier required me to drill 4 holes in the bed and I get to still use my bed rails as well. Its an excellent product backed by an excellent group of employees, I LOVE mine, leaves me access to the entire bed still if I need to use the whole bed, pops out in seconds, and reinstalls in about a minute.

Good luck on your choice, if you have anymore questions about the product overall or my review, Id answer them gladly, Id call them to ask why it needs to be removed though.

Thanks so far for the input guys. The more research I do, I am realizing most of the retractables on the market use the tie down rail system already on the truck bed and cover it up, thus eliminating the use to tie things down...

This "peragon" cover...just a little first hand review. I'm not exactly sure how it mounts on your ride but I had this system on my former truck...F250 SD. The paragon cover was great. It was sturdy enough that it could not be broken into, was lockable and yet still lightweight enough that could be removed in about 30 seconds by one person. When folded up, it only takes up about 5-6 inches of the front of the bed unlike the roller types...
