I picked up my garage kept 08 Tacoma 4x4 Standard Cab with only 33K miles for a mere $4,000 at an estate auction. To say the least, I was totally shocked that I won the bid. Still can not believe it! And no it has never been wrecked.

Some exterior upgrades have been done like nerf bars, up sized tires, and window vents. I plan to take it to the next level starting with the interior. It is just a base model with no interior power features. I would love to add power windows, remote door locks, and power side mirrors. Not to mention getting rid of the factory base radio! I doubt the required wiring harness is installed but hope to find most of the parts at junk yards.

I imagine I will be visiting this site often for advice and for that I would like to say THANKS to all in advance.

    Tarheel Girl!

Yea thought about selling it, but I have a 03 Ram that has 177K on it. I am going to sell it, keep the Taco and basically have a new vehicle with no car payment. Once I sell the Ram, I will almost break even. I am just going to have to get use to the MUCH smaller size. I kinda felt sorry for the family. They tried to sell the truck first but was unable to sell prior to the auction. Anyway, the truck is parked until the title comes back from the bank.

2009 4WD Reg cab Taco. Keepin it simple.
So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Very nice. Can't believe the price. You got a spectacular deal. You'll get used the size of it especially when you squeeze it crazy places others can't go with the full size trucks.
I went from big trucks to the Tacoma in 2009 and no regrets. Storage space is plenty enough behind the seat for the essentials. Helps to keep junk from cluttering up the cab too.

Have fun with it and post pics as you go. Lots of great ideas on TW so browse around.
