Does anyone have any experience with IPTs converter work? They advertise not only resetting the flash stall to around 2800+, but upgraded clutch material. $489 for this service which is a great price. I'm not opposed to going with FTI 9.5" converter either, but they're $949.

Ended up getting mine worked over by Southern Transmission in Pine Bluff, AR. Bent fins from 45* to around 15*, and shimmed the stator. Flash stall is about 2500 now with my 3500lb truck. Haven't brake stalled it yet, but going racing this weekend. $250 plus $75 shop labor to build a jig to hold my Toyota converter because it's the first he's ever done. Side note, he said the internals weren't exactly true, even when cut open in stock form. And after cutting it open, had to weld in a spacer ring because there wasn't enough material to weld it back up. (usually a converter can be split 4-6 times and have enough material to reweld. Also compared to domestic counterparts he said internals looked pretty "flimsy". This may be common for the a340 transmission for those that have worked with it. But I could find no reference to anything like that on the web so I'm noting it here for documentation.

Do you think the added cost of a pure sine inverter would give me a better ET? Or will I be OK with the cheap square wave?
