    Yes sir I agree 100%
I am a professional automotive technician
I have gotten paid to tune plenty of Gm and Ford vehicles.
I have done one remote tune on a Tacoma so far and would love to tune more of these trucks but with the market being so cornered it is difficult to get anyone just to try one of my tunes
I have offered a tune for only my cost of the license for anyone willing to do some testing.
    This offer is still open.
    I am in middle Georgia

Right on and good luck man, it's nice to see yet more innovation when it comes to tuning these trucks.

Here is a dragy run I did this morning.
This is proof for those who doubt what the right mods and tuning can gain.

    Except it's lies!

You are already at 10mph by the time the clock starts but going by your speed you start at 0:04 seconds (video) and you hit 60 at 0:11 seconds which is basically the same 0-60 as stock...

    This device is accurate.
It starts timing when the vehicle moves.

If you watch the lights from red to green that is when it begins to time.

    Nice work!

I've got the OVT, TRD flow accelerator and URD equal length full exhaust installed. It is definitely much quicker than stock.

For launches, it felt to me that it is quickest with traction and auto LSD OFF, and if i can get a little wheelspin and keep the RPM's up when launching. If i launch at too low an RPM it will bog a bit. It will roast the tires sometimes too...

I notice you have you rev limiter upped. I noticed significantly faster 0-60 because of the raised limiter. Unfortunately the OVT2.0 tune needs to be manually shifted to access the 6,800rpm redline, so you have to be very careful timing your shifts or it will hit the rev limiter (mine is an Auto). Is yours automatically shifting at 6800, or is that you shifting (with our fun shifter lag... I wish it was quick like my gs350).

14's seem very reasonable, but conditions / set up need to be right. It wont do it at the drop of a hat.

Heck if i'm stopped at a traffic light making a left hand turn trying to beat the on coming car, i can easily roast the tires....made then squeal pretty good several times since having this truck.

It is the auto and yes it is very difficult to manually shift 1-2 and gauge it before it hits the rev limiter. That being said I don't use OVtune and this is my own tune. I have the rev limiter at 7200 and it shifts about 6700-6800.
What you said about launching with everything off is correct to a certain extent.
Yes it needs a bit of wheel spin to get the rpms going but my truck now if I leave everything off will spin a lot with my newest tune. I now have to run with everything on or the auto lsd on and let it just spin a bit.

If I could get the locker to work in 2wd or a real limited slip I bet it would go quicker.

Also I have been 14s on my dragy and at the track.

It will always spin easy when turning as you are unloading the suspension on the inner wheel. It is spinning in a straight line which is more difficult. Honestly I think it's the tuning, as my 2011 tacoma would roast the tires alot. Off the start it would do it on command. If I was cruising in second gear around 30, floored it so it downshifted it would roast the tires thru the gear change (empty bed and stock crappy tires of course).

nice. I wonder if there is a way to get it to shift automatically at 6,800. You can see it drops into the sweet spot of about 4,500 on the 1-2 and 5,000 on the 2-3. This is where the 2gr boogies. The stock 1-2 likely put its around 38-3900 rpm where it is just starting to make good power.

Agreed on the AutoLSD... i prefer to have it on as well, but I think my truck has too much traction :D.

have you done any tuning on the I4 (2TR-FE)? I know lots of people are looking to improve the tune on the 3rd gen 4 cylinders.

Idk, its squealed the tire pretty good in a straight line even before making that turn. I've got that electronic traction bs turned off. You just punch it to the floor...tires will squeal like a pig.
