Performance

I have a 2015 Tacoma with 80000 miles. For last 30000 miles periodically engine starts running very bad ( NO error codes nor check engine ). At times low end other times top end. I have found I can pull truck over shut off engine re start and it corrects its self .
I have taken in to toyota 4 times. They have checked all grounds ETC ETC ETC. toyota claims I would have to get truck into a dealer while it is running bad for them to connect to computer.

20000 miles left warranty runs out any ideas from any one

 

Intermittent problems are always tough to diagnose. Sounds like it may be a problem with the ECU. Strange that you don’t get any codes. I have no idea what kind of diagnostic they can run on an ECU. You might try taking it to another independent garage. I’ve found that sometimes the factory techs are not that good at diagnosing problems unless they have error codes telling them the problem.
