Let's play the north east wheeling game: trail or wrong turn down a creek bed?

I need to actually wheel AOAA this year. I always had Rausch passes to use up in the past.

RC’s new passes expiring in Jan screwed me this year since my truck was down for months. Between Karen and myself, we lost 7 or 8 days that we’d payed for. Leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

It’s funny. I’ll probably end up wheeling URE before AOAA.

It was ok. No H, Greg, and I wheeled it last year after Windrock. Basically took us one day to hit everything. You should have no problems there.

It took you a day I run 98% of it from 10am till 2 or so lol. :boink:

It's fun for day trips. I will say a lot of the other parks around are a lot better but it's a fun place to get a quick fix. Windrock is definitely the place to go you could spend a week there and not see everything. A bunch of the smaller parks are fun too. We're headed to The Flats next weekend.

Cool. I don’t have my heart set on any place in particular. I just want to wheel.

Yeah, I think that’s the main reason I prefer rausch over it. I like a black every now and again, but I just don’t find it as fun. It’s just hard on the truck, and me, and my poor left foot since I’m on stock gearing.

Awesome. I’m looking forward to this trip. I haven’t been on a trail since October.

I was being very generous. I actually enjoyed the camping more than the wheeling, which if you know me, is rare. Dont get me wrong, we had a good time... but yeah what @El Dahs said, its pretty beat.

The funny part about AOAA is that their greens are stupid easy. Then you get to a blue and it's almost a black basically a Rausch purple. Some of the gatekeepers on the AOAA blue's had me using my front locker. But that was with ice and snow so YMMV.

I am doing a two park trip next week for my birthday (5/11-5/12). AOAA on Saturday, then camping at Rausch and wheeling there on Sunday.
