yeah, I just gotta make a spreadsheet this week, to decide if the cost of all 5 of them is worth my time, and dollars lost a month due to MPG loss. what helps though, is being compensated for mileage haha (i'm just learning how to adult, but i know you gotta appreciate the little things like that!)

Diff skid is way more useful IMO - My tank doesn't have a mark on it. The diff skid on the other hand...
The piece of mind that sucker gives is worth it. I drag that fucker on rocks all day long & my third still looks brand new.
Nathan @ Trailtoys makes them and I'd say that would probably be the only one I'd bother even getting. Lighter then steel and easy to install on a non-TRD off road.

FWIW the only diff skid worth getting is the BAMF one - The bostec one was a PITA to install and was WAY off in fitment. I had to grind the fuck out of the drain hole to fit one on my buddy Bryan's truck. Right @Littles?

I like my diff skid too. If there were skids for anything else, I'd buy those too. Peace of mind is priceless.

Well, actually, it's pretty expensive... That's what group buys are for!

I'm eagerly waiting for BAMF and TrailToys to get back into production.

I may get impatient and order a sheet of UHDPE though. ..

Incidentally, why does no one make a drive shaft protector to help avoid damage there?

Alternatively, @HomerTaco what's the secret to not damaging drive shafts?

I like my RCI diff skid. It's stout and already taken some decent abuse. Their trans skid is weak though, and I like the Pelfrey fuel skid design better.

Gas skid is stand alone, as is diff skid. So yes

You can use any fuel skid. It's not connected to the others. Not sure about mixing brands on the other skids.

If you want to protect the driveshaft get a trac bar and weld a piece on it. Eddy at SOS did it.
To protect the driveshaft requires a good spotter and wisely choosing lines.
I've never taken a close look at an RCI diff skid Tim.
I only know the BAMF and Bostec.
I like the BAMF because it basically covers everything from the pinion to the rear of the housing. I've had my entire truck balanced on the damn thing.

@Mobtown Offroad said their skids are wider than RCI. I think that they wont connect on the ones that bolt together
