Hey guys, just wanted to share my experience with the P0430 code on my 06 V6 Tacoma.
In general, this most likely means that the cat is bad, but also could mean that the O2 sensor is bad or there is an exhaust leak.

First thing I did was swap the O2 sensor between Drivers and Passenger side (downstream), and found that the code did not follow the sensor, but stayed on the drivers side, which tells me that the O2 sensor was fine.
Next, I ran seafoam through the system (fuel tank + vacuum line) to try and clean the cats, and spray the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner. Neither of those helped.
Finally, I did an exhaust leak test (Chris Fix does a good video on this), and found a leak to be coming from the O2 sensor connection. I sealed it with high heat epoxy putty and the code never came back :)
