Well, the fam and I just spent a week in the Colorado mountains for vacation. Between the ride home with all the downhill, and topping off to the brim before leaving.... I beat my all time personal range and MPG for a full tank. I still can’t believe this was a full tank. We started out saying “we’ll have to get gas in Raton”, then “maybe we can push it to Clayton”, then pushing all the way to Amarillo before filling up!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You filled to the brim til fuel was almost spilling back out the filler neck?

    Stock and staying that way
I often see 25 to 27 mpg on the hour drive to where I go play in the country, on the trip meter.

With a tonneau cover on from Phoenix to Moab, UT. Not really downhill either, just really flat and straight road for a long ways. 20180710_124912.jpg

Thought I might chime in from the other side of the spectrum.

    4x4 OR W/ 285 75 16s and lift

This weekend, I hauled ass to get up north. Did 90+ for most of the drive. I averaged 7mpg

Gas stations clerks know me on a first name basis :D

Nice! Coloradan here, I usually fill at 365 but could push to 400 if I was desperate.

I average about 25. I'm on "E" at about 475 miles, but the pump indicates I still have about 50 miles left out if the tank
