I have a fisher homesteader(poly) for last 10 yrs or so -had one on a s10-I also, have a metal plow on a 4 wheeler(as back up if needed) as long as you plow with the storm-4 to 6 inches I never had a problem- slow and steady -dont bang the bank etc btw mine is 4cyl-no problem. take 5 minutes on or off-small enough to keep in garage. A WHOLE LOT WARMER AND DRYER THAN THE 4 WHEELER

I had a 2002 with a 6'9" fisher LD for 14 years and i loved it i added some timbrens (Air Bags) to the front end half way through to help with the extra weight on the front end, for the first 8 years i plowed 4 driveways at my small condo association. i just traded in the 2002 for my 2011 with a 2021 7'2" Fisher HS and the previous owner per the plow installer had a spacer and block kit installed to level the truck for the plow. i just do my own driveway now but so far i like the newer Fisher much better it has down pressure like a Snowway but is a steel blade with a steel cutting edge. i actually met the previous owner by coincidence he said he dropped over 5k to install the plow with everything included. I love my taco's for plowing here in northern New England, i don't need or want a full sized HD American beast.

Awesome setup, I love mine, but wish I had the down pressure. Back dragging is the one thing my plow doesn't do well.

The LD on the first gen wasn't great at back dragging, the HS is way better, I'm really happy to have 2011 land in my lap!

On my western defender, same as the Fisher HS, i have the "down pressure", except its not really down pressure. It locks the plow in place, doesnt force it down just keeps it from riding up. The areas i need to drag are a little uneven and backing slightly downhill so its not always sitting flat to the ground when it locks. In my application, the locking isnt really worth it and i dont use it much. From what ive read the snoway actually applies pressure. If thats correct it would be much more useful. Again, in my application.

Ahh good to know, hadn't figured that out about the HS, it's still an improvement over my LD, and yes the Snoway is real down pressure vs just locking it in place.
has anyone put Shoes on their plows? i have a dirt driveway and the early season and late season storms i tend to tear up my yard, are the shoes worth the price for admission?

I’ve looked into this, and it seems many people weld a slotted steel pipe to the cutting edge. Not sure if you need the scraping of the normal blade, but could always buy another and switch as needed at beginning and end of season. Never tried it but worth looking into

I measured today and got 19 inches from the radiator to the back edge of the plow frame. By plow frame I am talking about the upright part that holds the lights etc.

I am curious how far the ARB bumper sticks out from the radiator. Let us know what you find.

20” from the face of the AC condenser to the front of the bumper.
