Today my antenna mount arrived from AntennaFarm. It's a vehicle specific hood / fender mount for a mobile radio antenna (I use for Fire/EMS response). All it required was removal of the one 10mm bolt on the inner fender towards the windshield, apply the bracket, and re-install the bolt over the bracket. Took 3 minutes. I wasn't a fan of the tailgate mounts, as it's not a CB whip, and I want to keep a cleaner look, especially with it being a smaller antenna. And I DEFINETELY wasn't drilling a 3/4" hole in my roof or anywhere else on Ol Blue!

I did install it on the passenger side and everything lined up fine and worked great, but the angle of the antenna was really bothersome. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was, thinking it was the manufacturing of the bracket. Then it hit me - put it on the DRIVERS side. So I did. And the angle was perfect. Lol. So that explains why some of the pictures start on the pass side, then switch to drivers about halfway through. I may end up painting it matte black or something a little sleeker at some point but for now here it is.

Here's the link to the part I bought (because it includes a new cable and the connector of your choice):
    https://www.theantennafarm.com/catalog/toyota-tacoma-15-20-8954

But if you don't want a new cable, and just want the bracket, you can buy that here:
    https://www.theantennafarm.com/catalog/toyota-tacoma-15-20-8953

They also make them for 2nd gens and just about every other vehicle you can imagine.

Again, trying to keep a sleeker look here, so I decided to mount the mobile in the center console. I'm doing my best at going drill free, so a little 94 Primer and 10lb 3M velcro strips, and she aint going nowhere...

Not wiring in yet. Still waiting on my fuse block and circuit breaker to come in. Aiming for Saturday. And yes, the interior console is scratched

LED headlights and fog light swap today!

I bought Hikari Ultra H11 LED’s on Amazon for $75 (as recommended in a different forum on here):

Fuse and circuit breaker came in. Planning on mounting them to outside of relay cover under the hood. Probably a project for the weekend, as it’ll involve wiring in all my accessories.

    Thinking something like this:

Today was Dash Cam install day. Entire install took about 20 minutes. It’s a NEXAR NEXC1 camera. Great image and interface. Live feeds on app, stores a ton of footage and continuous loop recording. Plus it ticks behind the rear view mirror, I cant even see it from where I am. 140 degree view lens. All I needed. Uses your phone to map your route as well and gives you a complete over view of your trip. $75

Tinted the windshield. 50% entire windshield and 5% brow up top to make the 50% less noticeable

Looks great from the outside and even from the inside at night... can’t even tell!
