This thread is dedicated to all the departed furry kids..... Post your pics and maybe a story about your lost fur kids.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

This is dedicated to our Daisy. We lost her in May just 2 weeks short of her 15th birthday.

This is the day we brought her home. She was injured and the person who was supposed to get her turned her down thinking she'd lose an eye - sewn shut in this photo. So, we took her immediately.

Here she is a month later - all healthy! The All American Girl.

Daisy always loved to play ball.

All grown with her brother Charlie.

What a sweetheart she was. I always laugh when I see this picture. We were building our home and she loved to roam around it. She looks like she's laughing...but really just has her favorite ball in her mouth.

And taken the same day, one of my favorites of Daisy and Lynn dreaming about our new home.

Daisy was an Iron Maiden. She ate a glass Christmas ball, swallowed 5 rolls of pennies whole, ate rat poison and was a 2 time cancer survivor. But, she loved to snuggle and play. Finallly, old age got her and when she could no longer walk we had to help her across the Rainbow Bridge. What I wouldn't give to hug her and give her one last kiss.

This is the laser-etched marker on her grave here at our farm.
