I think while we're asking Toyota for free gauges, why not go for an altimeter, attitude indicator, and an EGT gauge?

with these gauges. how hot should the oil be? and how often do you hear of oil overheating? ok that's why that gauge is not there. trans temp. how often do you hear of people overheating there transmissions. other than the blanket "trans hot message" prolly not very often. also that is cooled by engine coolant which is 200-220 so if its under that its prolly good. oil pressure gauge. this isn't a chevy Silverado.... that's why they did not put that on there. and any modern engine with VVT has an oil pressure sensor.
these are all the same reason they removed transmission dipstick.. if its not leaking its not low. why do you/ owner need to look at it/add stupid stuff to it.

the engine has all those sensors and more although i guess the engine temp is a "calculated" value.

they should have a menu in the infotainment system that shows all the PIDs from the ECU. it can't be that hard to do considering a bunch of free apps do the same thing with an obd reader.

Why do you have such a problem with posting a poll for this. Toyota 99.9% won't do it but I just wanted to see how many people would say yes. Also what do you mean with "why do you/ owner need to look at it/add stupid stuff to it." This forum has a very large amount of threads dedicated to modifying these trucks. If I put in a custom trans cooler, I would like to be able to see trans temps incase something does wrong. It would just be nice to have the truck display that value because it already has that sensor.

I'm not forcing them, this poll is to see how many people say yes (for shits and giggles).

    Yeah
It’s a year before model change, go ahead and add that last tenth of a percent there bud. Asking something like this is a waist of bandwidth on TW’s server.

Most Taco owners aren’t overlanding, off roading, or even towing. A company with profits in mind won’t cater to the 1-5% of its buyers. Exhibit A: I went to a major sporting even this past weekend and saw TONS of tent camping, RVs and even Tacomas, I expected to see a TON of overlanding/camping setup Tacomas, didn’t see a single one.
