So a couple weeks ago I put in a 12v led in my over head console as an indicator light for the tailgate since I can't see it from my drivers seat with the tonneau on. It works great, and is wired to a pin switch at the tailgate. When I parked the truck in the garage tonight with all the lights out I noticed that the led has the faintest hint of power to it. The light isn't on like normal but does have the slightest glow. When I open the tailgate and the pin switch grounds out the led comes on full power as it always had, and goes out completely when the fuse for that circuit is pulled. I don't know if this is new or I just never noticed, but how can it glow that little bit without being grounded? Its not the end of the world, there is no way that it could ever drain the battery unless I left it for weeks. But for a guy who is still learning all about 12v power and has ocd it is quite perplexing. I'm curious more than anything, so if you have any ideas id love to hear them. thanks guys

I have a set of led bed lights on the same circuit to the same pin switch and there is no power to those when the tailgate is closed. I should also mention I have a switch on the cubby on the drivers side of the bed to switch the ground on or off. That way of I'm hauling something like my snow in the back with the tail gate down I can kill that circuit
