Philly Cheese Steak Meet 1/7/12

1) we could hit delasandros over on henry ave...amazing cheesesteak and there is a football field right next to it and plenty of street parking opposite end of the field is a parking lot. i lived off their cheesesteaks while i was down the road at philly u! oh and chubby's is right across the street ( gotta buy french fries there and then take em to Delasandros )

2) Mothers over in manyunk...has a HUGE cheesesteak that is soooo good they pile on the meat. usually cant even finish one of them they are so big.

3) Chinks steaks over on torresdale avenue....banging place as well

4) geno's/pats = more of a tourist attraction if you want a real steak go to above places

my vote is delasandros all the way. i can almost taste it now

You have the secret formula. If you cant find crusty italin bread where you live, you can bake a long loaf of bread sold by most supermarkets for a few minutes and that will make it close to what you can get at the places here.

 

If the location is still up for debate, i want to throw Shanks Pier 40 into the mix. There is plenty of parking and its only a few blocks from the Columbus Blvd exits of I-95. The cheesesteaks, roast pork, and chicken sandwichs are really good. I have about 10lbs of weight on me to attest to how good they are.

Of all the places mentioned the only one with beer is Tony Luke's Sportsbar. It's diretly across the street from Tony Lukes sandwhich shop.
