so you get denied a right (let alone self defense) on "a chance"... where is due process? what if the same were done for one's ability to vote? ...and it's a slippery slope - another thing "they" want is to use the "no fly list" to deny this right as well - again, due process?, ..remember there's been 6yo. kids and even a U.S. senator (ted kennedy) on the "no fly list" - that should give you an indication of infringements on more than just the amendment #2..

 

Its about the woman's saftey. You don't take away some abusive assholes guns and he kills her after she gets a Protection from abuse on him, who is to blame for not acting on that? What if that woman was you mother/sister/neice? No question that is the right thing to do.

BTW, The right to own a gun is not a natural right. It is a right bestowed by government and in our case, the Constitution. It can be revoked.
