guy is lucky the police only used rubber bullets. if i was a cop and one of my fellow officers was shot and killed. id have a hard time using the "least amount of force" needed to subdue the suspect....prayers go out to the family!

Sincere condolences to the family, what a shame. So young and just starting a family. There will be no justice here. Taxpayers will pay for this scumbags attorneys, appeals and when he goes to prison taxpayers will fund his medical, dental, food, electric, heat, hot water etc. The "justice system", what a joke.

It's great to see the support from you guys in this forum. I did not this Officer at all and I am guessing neither did any of you, but it never ceases to amaze me when stories like this are posted and there's a flood of support from honest hard working citizens, that simply want justice served. You guys are all top notch in my book. For that, the Law Enforcement Community owes you all much gratitiude.

Thanks man. I just had my phone interview with Alaska State Troopers. I wont hear anything back till december. But i think it went pretty well.

Thanks for you hard work, Keeping us all safe and getting shit heads off the streets. Your a role model to many people. Its sad that ALOT Of people dont like police officers, just because they are risking there lives to protect others. I will never fully understand some people.

I havnt prayed in a long time, But this one deserves a prayer from everyone. Such a Young guy, with a growing family. Very very sad.

Thanks Chris. My prayers are with you too in your future Career. Being a State Trooper in Alaska from what I've heard seems to be a little more dangerous than an average Trooper. Best Wishes sir.

I attended a memorial last Thursday for fallen agents and officers. One of the speakers was Sharon Knutson, Executive Director for the 100 Club. The mission of the 100 Club of Arizona is to provide financial assistance to families of public safety officers and firefighters who are seriously injured or killed in the line-of-duty, and to provide resources to enhance their safety and welfare. Here we are, not even one week later, preparing to bury another young man who made the ultimate sacrifice. Travis Murphy's name will be added to the list.

Please take time to check out their website. The biggest honor we can give them is to never forget.

No need to thank us man, you and your fellow officers deserve the gratitude. You guys defend not only our streets, but us as well. When an officer is killed on duty, the least we should do is offer our condolences. So THANK YOU for what you do. It is much appreciated. Be careful out there!

Tio Taco, you are correct. The real victims in this are always the family left behind. I also agree with the whole politician thing. I like your mindset sir.
