Phone calls going to truck even when it's off?

Any of you guys have your Entune system pick up your phone calls even when the truck's off? I've had the truck about six months now, this is the first time I've seen it. Sitting in my living room with the truck in the driveway maybe 30 feet away, I made a call, and the Tacoma's bluetooth popped up as the default audio source on my iPhone. I went outside, freaked out about how the hell the truck was on, but nope--it was off. Went back inside and tried again, and the Tacoma was still popping up as the default audio source for the call.

Anyway, anybody had this happen? Searching this forum and google I couldn't find anything. I'm swapping out the head unit soon, so I'm not terribly concerned about this, more just curious if this has happened to anybody else.

    Bad apple? :D

So, are you saying you could not make your call from your phone in the LR, as in you could not hear anything?

@Black DOG Lila got any thoughts on this? :alien:

Only way that happens is if truck is still on ignition or accessory

The truck was on or in acc mode. You can't connect to the radio if it doesn't have any power.

Sounds like a phone issue, not a Tacoma issue.

This is why I always keep the Bluetooth turned off on my phone, I don't like it activating things I don't want. My 18 Subaru had Apple Play and I switched it off on my phone and turned it off in the car as well as Apple products tend to require constant inputs and handling. To be fair some people love constantly playing with their iPhone, I simply prefer to just use it for Talk/Text/E-mail.

The truck being in acc was my assumption too, but when I went out and opened the door, everything was off... unless the truck would turn itself off upon door open, it wasn’t in acc.

I restarted my phone, have made a few calls since and haven’t had the issue pop up again. Odd.

That's wreckless disregard for your own privacy and safety.

Could be nothing to do with the truck and just your phone being stupid if the truck was in fact off.

And just cut blue tooth off.

Are some of implying the phone turned his truck's ignition on?
The ignition was on for the phone to connect.
I'd be more worried about why the ignition is staying, or turning on, rather than trying to figure out why my phone and truck are doing what I set them to do.

I'm in agreement that maybe the phone glitched.

I don't love Bluetooth but I keep mine on because Massachusetts recently passed hands free. While I don't love talking on the phone, it's possible I could get a work call or (more importantly) my parents.
